MBBR is a new biofilm reactor, an improved composite biofilm reactor developed based on fixed bed reactor, fluidized bed reactor, and biofilter. It overcomes problems such as the need for regular backwashing of fixed bed reactors, the need for fluidization of carriers in fluidized bed reactors, and the complex operation of cleaning filter media and replacing aerators to clog submerged biofilters. It also retains the characteristics of traditional biofilm methods, such as resistance to impact loads, low sludge production, and long sludge age. Compared to the activated sludge method, it can maintain more nitrifying bacteria and have better nitrogen removal efficiency due to the longer sludge age.
Working Principle
The main principle is to use sewage to flow continuously through the reactor filler carrier and form a biofilm on the carrier. Microorganisms multiply and grow on the biofilm while degrading organic pollutants in the sewage , thereby purifying the sewage.
Product Features
1. Filling is added once, and operation and maintenance are simple.
2. The filler is easy to film, not easy to agglomerate and block, and easy to remove the film.
3. Good nitrogen and phosphorus removal ability and organic matter removal effect.
4. Easy to maintain and manage, saving investment and floor space.
5. Strong adaptability to water quality, good impact load resistance, and stable effluent
quality.
6. Safe and reliable operation, usually without special management.
